The Sammy D Foundation initially engaged Kate Thiele to review our governance framework which supported our Board to recruit new personnel to increase capability around the table.

Following this excellent work, we asked Kate to support the Board and I to review our purpose and aspiration and development of our new strategic plan.

Within this work, Kate was able to consolidate thoughts of each member and skilfully bring together key strategic actions.

Kate is very experienced across corporate, NFP and government sectors which helped build trust almost immediately. She took us all on a journey to understand what our organisation needed to stand out in the community and sector. Our organisation now has a clear purpose and is driven to increase impact through education, and we have been able to demonstrate this through prioritising and increasing our impact reporting. This work has been transformational for us.

Since engaging Kate to work with our Board to create a 3 year strategic plan and framework for the next 10 years, our impact in the community has increased, our revenue has doubled,  and our media presence has also seen a dramatic uplift.

A multi award winner, Kate has built expertise across the Government, For Purpose and commercial sectors, including a Top 10 listed company.  I was excited to hear that this strategic, leadership, governance and business knowledge is now available via Kate’s consultancy Klarity. Kate became a mentor of mine at a time in my career where I had lost a lot of professional confidence and direction. Kate is an inspiring and visionary leader. She is someone who expects and demands the best from her team as she does of herself. Kate developed solid business frameworks at Guide Dogs at a time when the business needed it most. She developed a business strategy, vision, mission, values and underpinned this with robust systems and processes which were accredited under the ISO 9001 quality system. She transformed Guide Dogs from being a middle of the road organization to a well respected and leading organization in the NFP sector, where sustainable revenue programs were built and supporter numbers were increased.

I absolutely loved Kate’s presentation.  Very easy to listen to, I looked around and everyone was intently listening.  She just said it as it was, even with the controversial topics that we needed to hear.  Kate’s voice projected so well, and she spoke so beautifully, very easy to listen to.  By far the best presenter I have had the privilege to listen to.

Kate’s presentation was very inspiring, informative and I was left feeling highly motivated to support my employers to achieve the best they can.
